Know Ashwin Bhadri’s Success Story: From University of Texas to Equinox Labs

When you take up some work, proving your point of view becomes necessary regardless people accept it or reject it. Few things prick us and we feel the need to do something about the same. This is the time when we feel we can serve the best to the customer and take a charge.

Similar is the story of a CEO, Equinox Labs, Ashwin Bhadri.

For starters, Ashwin studied and obtained a degree from the University of Texas. Like any child, he did complete his studies and returned to India.

In India, it’s disappointing if you fail to fulfill the requirement of stereotypes framed by society. Ashwin was aware of the capabilities and what he wanted in life. He had a different meaning and image of an Entrepreneur. He had seen his father struggle and decided to help him.

Ashwin, as soon as came from the University, joined his father’s Water Treatment company. He started working with the team and everyone was impressed. He solely reduced a few of the costing and this was a sign he had an entrepreneur in him who wish to conquer the market with his ideation.

As he was working, his image concerning an entrepreneur didn’t change. He had a question for himself, stating, “Am I serving the vision, I had?” and he was deeply and continuously thinking concerning the same. He decided to discuss with his father and started his own “Equinox Labs”.

Equinox Labs is a leading FSSAI approved and NABL accredited, ISO 9001:2015 certified food, water, and air testing lab with a PAN-India presence.

It’s amongst the largest auditing agency and with its quality and technology-focused approach, Equinox has built a trustworthy relationship with its clients across multiple domains.

While Ashwin was working, he came across certain instances, which helped him analyze, the people do ignore the quality of water, air, and food. He understood what he wanted to start with and what solution can be taken up for the causes. He started Equinox Labs with Food Testing services.

Ashwin believed that be it any place, a restaurant or a hawker, or a small food chain, every citizen should get food that is hygienic and safe to consume. He started emphasizing this very first service. Slowly, he realized the need for Air and Water testing. This has helped the consumers a lot. He did not focus on catering the services, but also on educating the people about the same.

Multiple people do wish to take up such services, lack of knowledge make them think about the same.

He had a clear vision, making the citizen of India available with safe, hygienic, and good quality food, air, and water and till today the vision remains the same. The best thing was he didn’t target a specific state in India, but he wanted to serve the nation. He worked on his dream and today, at Equinox Labs, everyone is a part of his dream.

When Ashwin started with Equinox, he didn’t seek any funding. 12 years, without funding, a big deal! Soon he cracked funding. Though he didn’t ask for it, Dr. Velumani from Thyrocare helped Bhadri with the funding. Excited how?

Ashwin just had a meeting to discuss the Water quality and his services and post-hearing the future planning and his vision Dr. Velumani decided to help him with the funds.

Ashwin was pleased to hear when Dr. Velumani said, “Ashwin, I will help you to excel”. Ashwin had a clear expectation from the people investing and that is guidance. He just didn’t want any investor who invests and doesn’t bother what the company is proceeding with.

Today Ashwin is successful in various aspects, yet, his definition of the Entrepreneur, vision, and mission of the company, nothing changed.

Ashwin believes, “If you’re taking the first step, you might fail, you might fail after taking the second step too, the cycle might continue, but you will get success at some or other step. Failing doesn’t mean you lose completely, you’re gaining experience and failures are never failures, they’re experiences gained in the process of achieving success.”
