Raw building materials like cement and plywood count for a considerable amount of construction costs. Their management isn’t approached methodically. One of the challenges ordinary people face in the construction industry is the absence of an EMI or credit system. In daily-life construction operations like building a house or renovation, there is always a tendency of mismanagement of materials by construction firms. Nischay Koushal’s Adeckko identified the loophole and undertook the task of organizing the unorganized.
Nischay Koushal is the founder and CEO of Adeckko Decor Private limited and belongs to a middle-class family. His parents departed at a very young age. So he had to build his career on his own. He never lacked the passion and quality for leading the masses. He always wanted to provide the solace of employment to thousands. He first started the business of construction work. He also received a contract to work at the 2010 commonwealth games. That gave him exposure to handle the day-to-day activities of a construction business. But he soon switched to the customized furniture business as he realized the massive demand for it. He thus established Adeckko in 2011.
Adeckko is an organization that works towards the delivery of raw construction materials and custom-made space-saving furniture. The company has a very creative in-house design team of carpenters, suppliers, and independent designers. They aspire to be a sustainable cooperative where customers can choose from a wide range of reasonably priced goods. DPIIT had recognized Adeckko for the “Startup India” project. After conquering the customized and space-saving furniture sector, Nischay realized that the construction material industry is highly unorganized. In addition, it may also be a considerable burden to the middle-class families’ budget. He started thinking about ways to thoroughly identify and eliminate the difficulties in this arena.
Nischay wanted to bring raw materials under Adeckko. He realized there is no streamlined way of buying raw building materials like cement, steel, etc., in the market. There was no bill given at the time of purchase. Neither were EMIs or credit systems acceptable anywhere at the local stores. Thus Nischay decided to tie up with the local vendors to prevent the massive cash outflow. It would be appropriate to say that Adeckko has provided the delivery standards equivalent to Zomato or Swiggy but in construction material. They decided to bring plywood and cement sales to an EMI mode. This was being done for the first time in the country. They added the products to their website and launched an android app making the entire process hassle-free. Helping the middle-class and the lower-class people avoid corruption and struggle in this segment was his aim.
This initiative not only offered a hassle-free experience for their customers but also employed thousands. The journey was challenging, and it wasn’t about to get any easier, but they kept moving on. “The furniture and construction sector is tricky because the carpenters can bail on you anytime, and customers had to bear the loss of it. This is challenging at times but maintaining quality and hassle-free deliveries are of extreme importance,” says Nischay.
The streamlining of raw materials has been a significant problem for most firms in the construction industry. Adeckko solved that problem by offering an online supply of furniture, plywood, cement, and building materials. They understand the difficulties faced by their clients and never hesitate to go the extra mile to solve them. They aim to provide feasible delivery across India.
